Overview

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic & Interactive Design, I started my professional career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director. In these positions, my experience included branding and identity design, brand strategy, advertising, and print design such as brochures, direct mail, and menus for a variety of small and large clients. These clients have included Hertz, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and AIGA Las Vegas.

Role & Duration

Graphic Designer & Art Director
Areas of Focus: Branding, Visual Design, Art Direction

2006 – 2014  •  Individual & Team Projects

.

Logo Design

Multiple logo designs which were created for a variety of businesses, such as a restaurant, yoga studio, mobile app, and precast concrete company.

Hertz

Hertz was looking to create a variety of designs to promote its franchisee opportunity, including a large-scale brochure, adverts, and direct mail. Their goal was to recruit potential prospects by enabling them to be well-informed about the brand and the opportunity. The messaging was not only directed towards people looking to start their own business, but also for dealership customers. Existing dealerships had the opportunity to add a Hertz to their property and utilize the current cars in their inventory.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

During its transition from Cherokee Casino to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, new branding was needed throughout—one that kept some of its Cherokee roots but also embraced the modern and  youthful character of the Hard Rock name. Everything within the hotel and casino walls had to be redesigned including sales kits, key cards, table felts, adverts, and brochures.

.

AIGA Las Vegas

Our team’s ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ theme was selected for the 2008 AIGA Las Vegas Work Show. Design-themed sins were developed and components included a call for entries booklet, posters, emails, multiple invites, awards for winners, a show presentation, and a 230+ page awards book.

.

Dué Pizzeria

After the client chose a very sectioned and simple option for their logo, I knew I could have some fun with the designs of Dué Pizzeria’s menu, adverts and other collateral. Using bold lines and blocks of color to form grids, I took some inspiration from the artist Piet Mondrian to create each element of the brand.
